Please feed the composites to NFS@home and I will do the post-processing. Right now I can't afford sieving on my laptops but I can do or post processing or ecmnet.
Not if Serge and jyb and I are the only ones participating......
Note also: (1) The numbers are getting bigger, so the rate will slow somewhat. (2) I have lost some hardware.....but my participation was anyhow insignificant compared with Serge and jyb
Fixed it for you... |
One of them was by ECM, the first for 15 months!

P72 J Becker GNFS 2015-03-08

Yes, and as you can see the factor found by ECM was not the smallest one available for that number. t50 + a couple thousand curves at 110e6 failed to uncover the P49. Unfortunate miss, but ECM did save the day in the end. |

Gladly, if it's okay with Paul. Forgive my ignorance, but please tell me how to do that. |
Nowadays, the number suggestion / request thread for NFS@Home would be http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=20024 . For bonus points, please post the ready-made polynomial, though polynomials for homogeneous Cunningham numbers are simple, IIRC
I semi-reserved 7 homogeneous Cunningham numbers before the recent challenge: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=396297 I saw ECM runs by Prof. Silverman and yourself, but has ECM work reached the equivalent of at least 10K curves at B1=11e7 ? If it has, then the numbers could be appended to the currently large queue for 14e (20 numbers ! Most of the fire power for the challenge was attributed to 15e and bigger sievers). |
Fixed it for you...
Thanks but, unfortunately Batalovs has said he's unlikely to factor any more any time soon, so Bob is correct. |

It is extremely rude to change someone else's posts. But then, I should expect such behavior from you, based on past posts. And Serge has already said that he doesn't intend to do any more work for the time being. Maybe if you learned how to read, you wouldn't look so foolish. |

You are both welcome.
As I know Serge, he wouldn't resist... :P |
Gladly, if it's okay with Paul.
Fine by me. All I do is collate results. How others wish to obtain those results is, by and large, up to them.

That may or may not be true, but was definitely unkind. You should not have said it. |
