Fake throughput drop
All these server problems have sure hit the stats engines. Everyone/team's throughput is down because many clients weren't able to return their results.
Not complaining, just freaked me out to see my team's output drop by over 2/3rds. |
Yeah I know, I probalby have work waiting to be sent and I cant get at these machines (ok not enough time) to update to the new version.
Please tell me this will be over soon! |
There's no guarantee the new version will work, of course. I've been attempting to run v22.8 for the last 4 days with no success. I keep getting "PrimeNet error 1". It looks (and feels) very strange to have my CPU not maxed out for more than a week.

go back to what? 21.4? That version didn't work either, which is the reason I upgraded to 22.8 in the first place.

Russ, have you tried a complete shutdown and restart. For some people this seems to help.

Hmm, just rebooted... nope, still doesn't work. The odd thing is, v22.8 works at home, but not here at work. I'm running Win98 at home and XP at work... maybe there's a problem with v22.8 and XP? I dunno, just a thought.

I'm very interested in any 22.8 clients that don't work. Add the line "Debug=1" to primenet.ini and send the prime.log file to me after a failed communication attempt. Thanks |
