Well the Queen Mary hasn't been doing much sailing for 50 years or more. Jokes can fossilize current culture. No need to change that. BTW, most fire engines, trucks, and rescue equipment don't have 4 wheels (most are at least 6 wheeled). Also, many rigs have 4 firefighters (while ambulances have 2 FF paramedics). Don't over analyse jokes.

Buried in the V32 unix source code was the C declaration:[code]static union firetruck;[/code] which we discovered when porting from the DEC VAX to the HLH Orion almost 40 years ago now.

No idea why it was there or for how long it survived.
