Thanks for the alternate encryption, hhh. The genius of this encryption scheme is that multiple spam messages could be encoded using the same innocuous-looking text string. In response to the question as to why ze German Unterseeboot Kapita"ns vould using der English font-highlighting to selling die magical Torpedo-festening (Erektionssteifermachen) pills, it's really rather obvious - their, um, "target market" was der schlappschwanzige British Offizier corps. Why, he breaks his upper lip, of course, ha ha ha!)
