Problems with Large FFT but not Small FFT's?

Hi,

I am running a DC 3.2ghz (940) Intel processor, with a P5WD2 Premium mobo. I have 2 gigs of PQI memory 5400, a Enermax EG651P-VE FM(24P) 550 Power Supply.

When running the small fft's everything is fine. After 30 minutes with a large FFT test, I get a blue screen of death.

I am OC'ing at 251 FSB, memory at 4:3 (180mhz in CPUID). Vcore at 1.325.

Any suggestions on what is making the Large FFT crash?

Hmmm, let me think... overclocking? Your system is simply not "prime stable"
I would bet on memory + FSB problem here, but I have no real experience with Intel platforms...
BTW: do you run stress test in two instances (on both cores) or just single one? What are your temperatures during stress test?

Large FFTs stress memory more than small FFTs. Relax your memory timings or slow down the memory bus speed
