Mersenne Poster - Power Buy

I'm seeing if there is interest in a power buy for Mersenne posters. PerfSci will sell 10+ posters for half price. Please post if you are interested in a M43 poster for $44US +S&H. If you're not interested at that price, what price would you be interested?

If enough people are interested, Xyzzy and I will arrange the purchase and shipping. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Jeff Gilchrist

I think PerfSci loses enough money on posters without giving out complimentary copies

I might be interested at $44 dollars. But it would suck to have the poster for 6 months and the a new prime found. what would the dimensions of the poster be and is the font 1pt?

Jeff Gilchrist 2006-01-13 14:49

The new poster is the same size, 29" x 40" and I believe it is also using 1 point font.

I'll buy one - I have some blank space on my office wall that needs covering!
I kinda would have expected that you'd get a complimentary sample... :ermm:
Send me a self-addressed stamped envelope and I'll gladly send you a sample consisting of the last 10 decimal digits of the new prime, free of charge.

I'm very very tempted to take you up on that offer.

My outlay is minimal, a few pence for two envelopes, a few seconds to write my address on one and your address on the other, less than a pound for a stamp and a quid or so for the international reply coupons.

In return, I give you some hassle!

The prices of the posters are less than their manufacturing costs?

Yes, sort of. As I understand it, the printer requires a substantial minimum order size. When you only sell a few dozen, you don't recoup the costs.
