Unrecognized CPUID cache code
This is probably not a major issue, but perhaps I should mention that my NFSNET logfiles constantly say:
# Unrecognized CPUID cache code: 60 Guessing 8+8k L1, 512k L2
I assume this means that the siever is not completely optimized for my CPU? If it helps, here is my /proc/cpuinfo:
processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 15 model : 3 model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz stepping : 3 cpu MHz : 2998.610 cache size : 1024 KB fdiv_bug : no hlt_bug : no f00f_bug : no coma_bug : no fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 5 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe pni monitor ds_cpl cid bogomips : 5989.99
|

The default guess is always reasonable. I'll look into it and update the source. The trouble is that Intel, AMD, et al. are forever bringing out new processors. Paul |

That's really a shame - someone should stop them! ^ | | :spam: |
