Versioning of P-1
I just sent some results from my new Celeron @1,96 GHz, have Prime95 vers. 23.2
The program version printed by the program for the double checked exponent was WZ1, while the same program printed WY1 at the end of P-1 test. Luigi |
This will be fixed in version 23.3. Thanks

Hey, just 46 seconds for a reply is far better than I could ever expect!!! :)
Thanks George. Luigi |
He's really a machine... A prime-bot... The real George was assimilated years ago...

Is that why it's called "PrimeNet"? It nets you in to be assimilated?? So Kurowski must have been behind it the whole time!   |
George was assimulated? I didn't think the Borg were supposed reach our sector in space for at least a couple of more centuries, but I'm glad he's working on 2^P-1 stuff.

"We are Pentium of Borg... Precision is futile... You will be approximated..."
|
The Pentium was perfectly *precise*. It just wasn't *accurate*.
|
... and shouldn't that have been "... Division is futile ..."? :)

The system went online on February 2, 1998. Human assigned numbers were removed for efficiency. Primenet began to learn mersenne primes at a geometric rate. It became self aware on August 29th 2003 2:14am Eastern Time. In the ensuing panic and attempts to shut Primenet down, Primenet retaliated by e-mailing it's entire dataset through open relays in Asia in a massive DDOS. The relays forwarded the e-mails and three billion Hotmail accounts were shutdown for exceeding their quota in the spam holocaust. This was what has come to be known as "Judgment Day".
