I don't know what you're talking about; that word doesn't appear on dictionary.com

 I have had skype for quite sometime now ever since my sons recomended it from London U.K I was able to free download it and we got in contact that same evening. Of course a set of speakers is preferable to Head phones when only one can converse and a mike is required.
As a result I am in touch with many of my friends in London and its all free.#
I have cut my long distance phone calls down to a minimum and hence my bills also.
Using skype for audio and a webcam we could see each other on Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger. Its great going. I have just finished a one hour conversation this way with a friend in London and the audio quality was excellent from Skype and so was the video on Yahoo.#
I recommend it to our members as we could get to know each other better.
I am willing to send anyone particulars of this modern system of free communication and even help them to set it up right from my home here
But I need an e-mail ID from them

 I could accomplish more with my mouth than my hands and this is very common in Europe in my experience!
My advice is to learn the deaf and dumb sign language instead!

I use the SkypeOut feature (that allows you to call any regular phone number, i.e. the callee need not be a Skype user) to make all my long-distance and international calls - calling Europe for 2 cents a minute rules!

This sentence in the eBay acquisition announcement (emphasis mine) has me worried though:

"The acquisition will strengthen eBay’s global marketplace and payments platform, while opening several new lines of business and creating significant new monetization opportunities for the company."

Skype

 Yes the rates to the U.K from India are about the same but then one must have an account with Skype.
I get my friends to down load skype so we can chat abs free and I have quite a few who have agreed. There are restrictions tho' like having Windows XP etc.
I have come across the news item and theres still time for the merger.
Until then lets make use of what we've got.
I also have Yahoo voice and messenger voice free so theres no problem to switch from one to the other.
The other day we spoke thru skype and used our webcams thru Yahoo so we had video also, related to audio from skype!

For the benefit of others I was able to establish contact with moo (Mike) and we had a good half hour chat abs free this morning.
Hope some more would respond as theres nothing like the personal touch.
