24.14 Bug
 

I've experienced this on 24.13 too.

I have it set so that it stops work when my laptop is on battery power, and resumes work when connected to a power outlet. Lately I've been noticing that sometimes when I disconnect from the power, Prime95 gives me a fatal error, and Windows wants to shut it down, forcing me to open it up again. :mad:

Are you trial factoring, P-1 factoring, or LL testing?

I've been using prime95 on laptop for quite some time and haven't noticed anything like that, at least when LL testing...

Trial factoring with Windows XP Pro SP2.

I cannot reproduce it here. Can you post your worktodo.ini file and tell me your machine type?

i get a very similar error on my notebook as well. WindowsXP home edition SP2 gives the illegal operation message when i'm going from battery to line power.

This notebook has aggressive speed stepping and frequently moves from 800mhz to 1600mhz
