.....and more than a little scary.
The song's message or the video itself? I agree with the message, kind of. I'm half-french(I'm guessing it's French, or something very similar to a non-speaker's ear) and some of the political stories I've heard have made me a bit nervous. French people seem to have a notion of civil rights that goes too far in favor of the consumer, to the point where I think the freemium model wouldn't exist if everyone felt the same way. Admittedly the US and Britain seem to be headed to the other extreme, but I think both models appear lousy to my untrained eye. What country was it that put forth the right-to-be-forgotten law? (Googled it, apparently, it's the law of the entire European union. Makes me wonder what it would look like if there were popular European-owned search engines) |

.....
The video and the message are relatively congruent for me. |

It is. The translation in the subtitles is a little off, but it's basically an anti-social media commentary, complaining about people who live in twitter instead of the real world. |

Hmm ... Looks more like "the 5th Marx Brother" - Karl - to me, but then again I always did have heretical tendencies. |

The 'Free Shipping!' does seem a rather underwhelming carrot, but look at the number of reviews! Now 'Bonus: free DVR!' (Or 6 free months of Netflix) -- that bundle I could go for. |
