Manual Communication Errors

I'm having trouble doing manual communication with the PrimeNet server. It always gives me the following message:

The name specified is not recognized as an
internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
PrimeNet error 256

Thanks!

I think that the server is down at the moment.
I'm having trouble doing manual communication with the PrimeNet server. It always gives me the following message:

The name specified is not recognized as an

PrimeNet error 256
This trouble with the "Manual Test Results Check In" on the http://mersenne.org/ips/manualtests.html page is a separate problem from the case of the entire server being down.

This Manual Test Results problem started last year, and has prevented manual results reporting most of the time since then. Thread "Any news on manual form fixing?" at http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=3230 has some discussion. Earlier was "Strange problem during manual entry" at http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=3117. The cause (someone mucked with something) was explained in some older thread. Meanwhile, one can report results by e-mail to woltman@alum.mit.edu

Update:

The two threads (3117 & 3230) I linked from my preceding post are gone now. I see in this subforum only one other thread whose title indicates that it's related: "Manual results check-in is temporarily broken" at http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=1606, which has more discussion than simply a problem report.

I don't recall seeing an announcement that manual reporting was working again, but probably I just missed it.

I just submitted four factoring results through http://mersenne.org/ips/manualtests.html, and got only confirmations ("Accepted [Line ..."), no error messages. I'm waiting to see whether all four properly make it into the next file updates a few days from now. Whether a submission of four thousand results at one time would work now, I don't know. I presume the progressive time delays (to keep from flooding the server) are still in effect for submissions of more than just a few lines at a time.

All times are UTC. The time now is 16:48.
