hey everyone!!! i just bought a Vapochill LS and i will be cranking up the speed out of my 3.2c to around 4.5ghz :showoff: and i will post some benchmarks!!!! :bounce:
I cant wait, if anyone else has some extreme overclocks or extreme cooling then please let us know. :banana:

PS: cant wait to :flex: this things muscle!!!

also, since i allready have a 3.2 northwood, i'm getting a 3.2 prescott and i'm having trouble deciding which one i should stick to my vapochill, i want to know which one is better for prime95, the 3.2 northwood overclocked or prescott overclocked. thanks

northwood prescot is a waste of cooling power and should have never become avaible to public.

I think you mean simply "prescott", the core that replaced northwood...
In fact Prescott is good to warm your room in winter, and Northwood is definitely better for Prime95.
I have a 3,2GHz Northwood overclocked to 3.5 GHz (air cooled) and I would really like to know how far you will be able to go with Vapochill. Don´t forget that for really "serious" OC you should also keep an eye on the memories and the chipset, as they are also prone to heat a lot.

i know that i forgot a , and the and a and

I understood what you meant, moo, although the punctuation helps!

Northwoods are better than Prescott in most ways if you have a choice. eg for throughput in P95 at identical speeds.

If I had such a cooler I would probably stick it on the northwood too.

my project has been set back a few weeks because my video card is not in stock right now but i decided finally to go for another 3.2c and it turns out that i got a 30 capacitor one so from what i hear its supposedly supposed to be an EE but something went wrong so they jsut sold it as a northwood so what this means that it might be a gallatin core but i doubt it but these chips overclock much better then the normal northwoods!!!!

That´s great results!
Have you played with anything other than the FSB frequency?

And I actually bought a 2.66 GHz Northwood Pentium 4 just to run Prime95 on, and overclocked to 2.8 GHz using a stock Celeron heatsink w00t!

Use it for Trial Factoring. It smokes the P4s at that.
Using the 64-bit version of Prime95 for TF on that machine will give you excellent results, and TF is something that the project is definitely in need of.

You are right. I checked my benchmark results and noticed that my 2.2 GHz Athlon got about 5.5ms on the trial factors up to 61 bits, which is better than his 4 GHz Pentium 4! Thats pretty leet, but I want to stay on the Primality testing.
