Problems with a new laptop

I've been running Prime95 for some time on my desktop and haven't ever had problems. I just got a laptop and tried installing the program. I got error 2250. I use a program called Proxomitron to block pop-up menus. I tried some of the proxy stuff listed in the FAQ and I got error 29. Any clues?

Server was out much of last night. It seems to be up again. Give it another try using the default settings (same as the desktop's settings).
