Considering that this is the next GIMPS mainstream range, it might be interesting to take a close-up look at it. I ran a count on the factoring depth from the nofactor list of 2005-01-20:

Thanks for the post leif. This is indeed worth looking out for. At this moment our top priority as a group should be to ensure that 29-30M is ready for entry into Primenet at 62 bits if not higher. Kevin finished upto 29.357M, 29.4-29.6 has already been assigned. We still have over 2 months before this range is released on Primenet but we should make sure that everything is done. Then we can turn our attention to 30M and above.

I started on the 29.6-29.7 range two days ago, and I'm going to throw in whatever it takes to have it finished by the end of the month :showoff:

I only wish that I knew when George is going to do the next update, so I can get a maximum number of my results into the next status.

Typically he does it every week or two. Since the last update was Jan 20th, the new one could come anyday. In any case, in the long run it doesn't matter if they make it into this update.
