What happened to 3321934757? You never reported it?

Uncwilly,

My PC's been working on 33212934607 (70-73) this month. I wanted to see how long it would take to bring an exponent from 72 bits to 73. Quite a while, as it turns out (part of the reason I realized that it wasn't practical for me to try and bring OBD to Level 15, at least on that PC).

It'll be finished in the next 4-5 days. Then I will go back and do 3321934757 from 62 to 71. Next I'll do the other two that I have in reserve to take from 71 to 73, and then I intend to start working on the new range.

Bounds this high usually use the Graphic Card (GPU) program. It can be pretty slow if you are using the CPU version.[/QUOTE]
wblipp,

Where can I find information on the GPU program for OBD and how to use it?

Rodrigo, each bit level represents a doubling of the work (and hence time) needed for the previous level.

So if you want to see how long it takes to go from 70 - 73, you could time 70 - 71, and multiply it by 7, alternatively it would be 6 times as long to go from 71 - 73.

If 70 - 71 is x, 71 - 72 is 2x and 72 - 73 is 4x. x + 2x + 4x = 7x.
