M4294967279 has a factor: 862773027005521
found 1 factor(s) for M4294967279 from 2^ 1 to 2^73 [mfaktc 0.14-Win 75bit_mul32]

triying at the limit of mfaktc ( i know, useless... but at least I have a factor)

Factor5 can go much higher.

yup i know. but it is so slow... ;p

Bet I can take 2^2305843009213693951-1 to 100 bits on a CPU faster than you can take 2^4294967279-1 to 80 bits on a GPU.

About 6 hours on my laptop core2 duo and less than 2.5 hours on my i5-750 quad core at home...

Did you send the factor to George Woltman and Will Edgington?
less than 2.5 hours on my i5-750 quad core at home.
That seems a bit long, shouldn't it be closer to 45 - 60 mins on that system? Or does it significantly slow down when the exponent/bit level goes up?

Based on some old times (for smaller exponents and lower bit levels) on my OC'd i7, I'd estimate about 30 mins.

All times are UTC. The time now is 23:03.
