A suggestion for the client/stats server/???
The current stats (Individual Account report) shows the "run time" for an exponent counted from the point it is downloaded, even if the client isn't actually working on that exponent.
Could this be changed (probably in the v23 at the soonest) so that the run time only shows the time that the client has actually been working on an exponent? *QuintLeo waits for the comments on why this is or is not a good idea in a flameproof suit* 9-) |
How about simply changing the currently-inaccurate heading "Run" to the accurate term "Assigned"?

I agree that you idea would be nice, but the server doesn't necessarily know when the test actually starts. It would be possible to have the client notify the server when it starts, provided the machine has a permanent internet connection, but this is certainly not always the case. And yes, I realize that the client could "remember" when it started and notify the server at its next connection, but that is much more complicated. Undoubtedly still doable, but maybe not worth the trouble. Either way, it would require a change to the server software as well as the client, and the server still needs to keep the "date assigned" in order to calculate an expiry date in case the exponent is never checked in again. |
