I just had a look at your stats... nice team! Keep up the good work :bow: .
The existance of teams like yours, using powerful P4s for factoring, is also a good point in favour of iniciatives like "62 bits+" in LMH, that will prevent your P4s being wasted at factoring lower than 62 bits. This is good *global* team work :showoff: , and is undoubtly beneficial for the overall project throughput.

If you set it to communicate automatically after ANY number of days, it communicates automatically the INSTANT the result is finished. So communicating automatically frequently is absolutely zero help and has absolutely zero effect effect on individual or total progress reports. The only times it would have an effect is if the exponent is about to expire (i.e. close to 60 days since last communication) or if you are doing LL testing. Since your team focuses on factoring, communicating daily w/o finishing a result just causes a burden on the server.

I can see where you are coming from dominicanpapi82 however when you comunicate everyday, it DOES update the status of the exponent.

Like with LL testing, the server also keeps track of the status of each exponent is being factored. With LL testing, it keeps track of the iteration it is up to. With factoring it gives it a progress report from 1-16. 1 being that very little work has been done on it, 16 being that it is almost finished.

Hey man...let him have his fun.... what's the harm... you set your prime95 anyway you want... he and his team set theirs how they want....seems fair....
