ERROR 7:Server has run out of exponents to assign(factoring)

Doing factoring
Has been happening for a good part of today ( Wed 1/1/2003 )
Finally at 7:13 PM EST it was checking again

Hasn't responded since ( also isn't doing any calculations, CPU time stopped )
Version 22.8.1 Windows 98 SE

Is it my PC or bug in 22.8.1 ? Is it really out of factors right now ?

This person's machine ( novarese NSPC19) looks to be caught in a loop and is constantly downloading and possibly discarding factors. Probably has emptied the servers cache of factoring work.

I just got factoring assignment from the server, no prob. If you're using a proxy server, that would be a problem with version 22.8. Beyond that, I don't know what's wrong. I guess until this gets fixed you could go back to manual testing (e-mail instead of primenet).

This is a bug in version 18. I've unreserved the exponents and I'm adding some more to the queue now.

I got the same problem. An old Pentium 233 with v.18 is constantly reserving exponents to factor.

I apologize for the inconvenient: I will manually unreserve exponents until I get in touch with the machine to download the correct sw version.
