Manual Communication Grayed Out
 
I selected [URL="https://www.mersenne.ca/exponent/332222291"]M332222291[/URL] as my next 100+ million digit task to do. Today, I made significant computer changes and the completion time dropped from about 90 days to 57 days. I wanted to update Prime95 but the selection is grayed out. I cannot seem to find anywhere to re-enable it.


Does this have something to do with the manual selection?


Also, can I force another re-calibration?

So since you say Prime95, it is Windows (10?)? What is shown when clicking the PrimeNet menu entry? Is it enabled? It has reset for me from time to time, so even if you are sure you have enabled it, please double check it.

It is Windows, build 17.
Unreserve Exponent and About PrimeNet Server is also grayed out.


Not sure what you mean by enabling it.

The Test/Primenet dialog box should have the "Use PrimeNet..." checkbox marked.

Duh. I thought that was for a test option. Ok, I changed that.
It came back with an error:
PrimeNet error 40: No assignment
Assignment key .... belongs to another user.
Huh?

And that turned out to be user error as well!

This program has run flawlessly for a long time. As soon as I updated the software and tried a manual assignment, things went amiss.

I have fixed the issues; they stem around the Test | PrimeNet dropdown box.

Works great now. The PrimeNet Server recognizes my computer and my assignment.
