Unexpected error during p110230019.proof upload: {"error_status":401,"error_message":"Unauthorized","error_description":"JSON result not yet submitted by your user ID or pro


Has anyone any ideas? I'm new to this. Running P95 ver 30.3 on Windows 10 AMD Ryzen 5. Tried with VPN on and off, same result.

Not sure what has happened. Please PM/email prime.log to me.

Go to [url]https://www.mersenne.org/manual_result/[/url] and copy the contents of results.json.txt then submit. Before a proof can be uploaded, the JSON result must be submitted. For some reason that JSON result was not sent or is delayed.

Looking at the error logs, I believe you found a factor for 110827351. I have submitted the result on your behalf.

Here's what happened. A year or two ago we had a troublemaker trying to cause all kinds of grief - submitting bogus results, trying to grab thousands of assignments. Really pointless jackass stuff. One of the countermeasures was to prohibit submitting results for new accounts for a couple of days.

Normally a PRP test like the one you attempted takes a few days and newcomers never even notice. Alas, you found a factor right away and your result was being rejected. I'll ask James, our PHP guru, to see if he can accept factor found results for new users immediately.

I do think the problem would have cleared up in a couple of days. Hopefully, my submitting your result won't cause any grief for gpuowl's upload scripts.

Again, welcome to GIMPS! Sorry for the bumpy start :)

Just give it some time. As George mentioned, the delay in the ability for newly created users to submit results was an unfortunate thing we added, specifically to prevent certain idiots from doing bad things. It gives us time to look at the new accounts and make sure they're legit.

Typically a new user isn't submitting results right away anyway so it's not normally an issue, but there are times when it happens. Just keep building up results and submit them all in a batch tomorrow afternoon and it should be okay I'm sure.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I should point out I have been using GIMPS since December 2020 on various PCs I have and have submitted results for at least six assignments, possibly eight. Unfortunately I had to scrap one PC because of ATA bus errors corrupting a hard drive so I don't know which assigments were on that PC. These PCs were all running Linux (Ubuntu) and I had no problems. I've been running GIMPS on my current Win10 machine since the end of February. The two assignments whose results I cannot upload took the usual 26-28 days to complete and both completed on April 6th. I'm prepared to wait a while as I am about 20% through another two assignments which were allocated to me April 6th. I'm just frustrated that this is happening.

Please email prime.log and results.json.txt to me. Maybe I can figure out what's going on.
