Part 3 of 3
But what about the weekend trips we had planned? For 1,000 mile rides we are not sure we want to be on a 250 since the slowest interstate near us is clocked at 70MPH which means traffic is really going 80MPH. We used to have a Goldwing. Boy that was a nice bike. So smooth and relaxed and comfortable. And how could we forget the amazing luggage space, cruise control, heated grips and heated seat! Wrecking that bike broke our heart. So we found the exact same year (2012) and model and color Goldwing that we had before, and traded in the two cruisers for it. The local dealer had one sitting in the crate with a decent rebate on it because the 2013 models are out. The only changes for 2013 are very minor cosmetic changes so who cares what year it is? |

Different. The driver must be in the car to exchange the gears and press the gas pedal. Eventually the brakes, but the car is good in breaking and steering itself (if you forget to lift the foot from the gas pedal, it will most probably brake and won't let you to collide). Otoh, we drive a new and expensive Toyota too (and a 18-years old Hyundai), but we preferred the CNG instead of the hybrid due to better comfort inside (larger interior compared with Prius, and the Camry Hybrid was not available in Thai at the time we bought our newest car) and much, MUCH cheaper price to drive (methane is still bloody cheap here, even sponsored by the government, who wants to stimulate spreading of the technology, as the country has no petrol reserves). But we read a lot about new technologies zipped inside of the Prius and other new cars at the time we bought our one, and it took us a long time to decide. |
Top 100 LL YTD
Went from off the board to top 100 in just under 6 months with 18 full time cores.
Next ... top 100 LL Lifetime ... and 50,000 LL Lifetime: Both should happen in less than another 6 months. |
I just saw I am in the top 25(23) on DC... and top 50 on all

Sorry to disappoint but I am not CC's alter ego. 50,000 LL tests won't be in my lifetime maybe 5,000 many years from now. Just that many LL GD's lifetime by late fall, about the same time I expect to break into the top 100 lifetime LL |
My first quad (Q9550) is 15,000 GhzDays old and just over 4.5 Years old . Happy Birthday.

I think you're only supposed to count GHz days when the computer actually does stuff. So the question I have is did it do 15,000 GHz-days worth of work or did you just do a simple math problem? Never mind, let's see what we get if we do the math. 15,000 divided by (365*4.5) is 9.1324 2.283 GHz per core. Hmmmmm, doesn't solidly answer the question. Not that I expected it to. |
