Our new (leftover 2009) WR450F enduro motorcycle came with a spiffy service manual that goes into extreme detail.

And the weather here lately has been a bit cold and wet.

And we have earned a "certificate of proficiency" in diesel technology from our local community college.

And we are kind of bored.

And Mrs. Xyzzy allows this to go on *inside* the house, LOL? You know what they say, it's easy to get it apart, a little harder to get it back together. Is she so blithe about the thought of you riding the thing after this little practicum?
And Mrs. Xyzzy allows this to go on *inside* the house, LOL?
Of course! It is cold in the garage!
You know what they say, it's easy to get it apart, a little harder to get it back together.
We are taking lots of photographs. So far things have been pretty simple but we expect the engine will be a bit more complicated.
Is she so blithe about the thought of you riding the thing after this little practicum?
Perhaps our life insurance money is a motivating factor?

I don't know whether to put this in the "Unhappy Meal" thread or this thread. I totalled my car today and walked away with nothing more than a bloody nose. My wife expects me to be pretty stiff tomorrow, but right now I have little pain, although I do expect to feel a little whiplash tomorrow. Someone in oncoming traffic made a left turn and hit them. They were in an industrial van, so that vehicle took little damage. My car, on the other hand, a reliable 2002 Honda Accord, is totaled.

Argh. Happened to us once, too (sans the bloody nose).
Don't repeat our mistake (we were new, unexperienced and in shock) - do go to the doctor! We hope that it would be for nothing!

These modern cars are wonderful at fulfilling their final job. When mine was 'totalled out'. I saw the accident coming and tried to make it less bad. Got out of the car and thought, "It might be a total loss." Spent much of the next 5 minutes helping to calm the person that caused the accident. Everyone was fine.

@Xyzzy: do you have any plans to come to Thailand? A couple of bikes are getting rusty in our yard... We offer free accommodation and the beer...

@rogue: oh boy!

@Uncwilly: :tu: (for trying to calm the person... I would get nervous and make a full out of me!)

I feel pretty much the same this morning as I did immediately after the accident. If any soreness would have set it I think it would have happened by now.

I was in an RTA just 14 years ago. Only superficial bruising, apparently. The chest pains didn't start in earnest or four or five days and the migraines for 6-10 weeks. I still get migraines on occasion but, thankfully, less often and much less severe on average.

I woke up this morning to 8 completed TF assignments, including 3 factors found. Don't think I've ever hit that before. The GHz-days-saved spike made me smile.
