Even better!

Would my parents' dinosaur be better suited to P-1 or DC? Now that I think on it...it may be a Pentium 4 but I'm not sure...It certainly is single core and is quite old- at least 7 or 8 years. I think it has 2 GB (or maybe 1?) of DDR2.
If it is a 1.8GHz CPU, as you wrote previously, it can´t be a Pentium III - they never went that high in frequency. It´s most probably a Pentium 4. I would not hesitate to put it to P-1 work, for several reasons: It´s the most needed work ATM, it would take a long time to complete DC assignments, and it has more than enough memory to do proper P-1 tests.
Just a word of caution: start by cleaning air vents and CPU cooler properly. On such an old machine they are very likely to be clogged with dust. I would also run some torture tests before starting real work, just to be on the safe side.

Well my stats are more like this:
~88800 ~2420 ~2.73% ~10700 GHz-days:ford:

Xyzzy 2011-12-30 05:32

~888,423 ~33,283 ~3.75% ~189,321 GHz-days

Our higher return may be due to the fact that no-factor results greatly disturb us so we sometimes do not turn them in.

:ick:

Just kidding. We turn them in.
