I'm hoping to get a job right now, although I don't expect it to be easy these days (you can blame the economy for that).
In the meantime, I'm working (as an intern) with a professor and two Ph.D. students at UC Santa Cruz; I'm also taking a few classes there. |
Always look on the bright side of life
I have (almost) proved that one of the candidates
between M46 and M47 isn't prime. Off to Norwich tomorrow. Devonshire Arms (off Mill Road Cambridge) be warned (circa lunchtime). :smile:David |

One question though, why the older version of Prime95?
Less accessible....and since it is currently doing TF there were no benefits to upgrading yet. |
Good News
Two instances of people released from captivity:
1) That Burmese lady 2) That sailor couple who ended up in Somalia Glad to see that all three of them have retained their humour, intellect, wit, charm.... Welcome back to reality. David |

Given that we live on a relatively modest income, our hobby of indiscriminately spending mucho dinero on shiny trinkets has been the source of much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the CFO.
So, when we (accidentally and innocently) saw this web page… Oh, yes, my precious. Very nice, very nice. |
Beautiful!

The "cyclops" is probably the most iconic and distinguishing feature Rolex has. Fortunately, the newer models have an AR coating so you can actually see the date even if you are not perpendicular to it. The older models were very difficult to read.
You can get a "cyclops" on a Panerai, but it is reversed, in that it bows to the inside of the crystal. http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingua=2&id_sezione=16&id_prodotto=7285&id_categoria=35 We think it looks pretty cool, although we prefer the simplicity of no "cyclops". In fact, probably the most elegant Panerai of all is the simplest model they make. Stainless steel: http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingua=2&id_sezione=16&id_prodotto=638&id_categoria=33 Titanium: http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingua=2&id_sezione=16&id_prodotto=3067&id_categoria=33 The model we chose is very cool because it has a "tobacco" dial and a titanium case. It was introduced this year. http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingua=2&id_sezione=16&id_prodotto=9897&id_categoria=8994 One cool feature that that is offered on many models is the "sandwich" dial. http://people.timezone.com/msandler/Panerai/FAQ.html#5 We suppose pronouncing the name "Officine Panerai" is quite difficult unless you are Italian.
