Keep banana-man there jumping on that one until it coughs up a factor, too.
On 11/26 it did turn in a 103 bit factor... so that is ok.

Hi computationally intrigued people,

My two home computers have tried 3402 eliptic curves with Prime95. All of them have been for the 20 th Fermat number or smaller. Hopefully I will hit the jackpot and find a factor someday.

Regards,
Matt

Looks like an outstanding trip! If your plans change, and you have to cancel something, DON'T cancel the Xi'an part of the trip. That place is absolutely fascinating.

A close relative of mine was taken to the hospital by emergency services Thursday. They were in a bad way. 2 medical professionals that I know, that work in emergency medicine, said that one of the test numbers was "the highest that I have ever seen" and "crazy high" (it was >3 times the value that is considered high enough to be a problem.) The fact that they did not die was remarkable.

Today they returned home, vastly improved.

I hope that the crisis has passed.

found my first 300,000 bit prime number

somewhat new to prime searching, I did it a little back in 2013, and now I joined back again. Just found my largest prime number as of yet ---> 4431*2[SUP]309253[/SUP]-1 (93099 digits)

I finally have an Android phone...

I finally broke down, and bought a Nexus 5.

I'm still in the process of "Making Friends" with it, and I can already tell I'm going to miss the physical QWERTY keyboard I'm used to on the Blackberries I'm used to.

But the display and camera are amazing, as is the voice recognition! And I'll be able to write apps for this thing without having to pay someone for the privilege of doing so.

Happy dance!
