@Luigi: As private messages don't allow attachments, the problem is that, when factor3_2b is about to process the following file on a P4, it says something about an exception, dividing by zero, which coincidentally is the same error factor4 prints. What may be the problem?
Both Factor3_2p and Factor4 have a DLL related problem. They work correctly under Cygwin environment, and crash when used with a DLL under Windows command line. I think I corrected the problem modifying the input values. Stay tuned for a new release. Luigi |

What do you mean by "working correctly under Cygwin environment, and crashing when used with a DLL under the cmd line"? BTW1: I'm using factor3_2, not factor3_2p... BTW2: And is factor3_2p much better than factor3_2 for P4s? EDIT: The problem is solved :) Accidentally, I forgot to take the "M"s out of the files. BTW3: Where can I send the factors I processed in Joshua's results files? |

BTW3: Where can I send the factors I processed in Joshua's results files?
I am not sure whether I want to keep factors or not. For the time being I think you can keep them yourself. Is that ok? That way I can concentrate on the remaining exponents to be factored. We have to find a solution to this.. |

Okay. Thanks to gribozavr () I am now able to easily handle this project.
I am not able to take out the factors and I actually don't care (if you want I can keep the result-files). So I hereby declare this project open :bounce: Now let's get some :help: from all your idle CPU's! OH p.s. I sure hope this works out! |

Heh, sorry I forgot  He has made a perl-script similar to Uncwillys (which converts result-files to new worktodos  ) BTW: Have you checked the latest distributedcomputing.info update? We may expect new participants soon  |
There are several of us that help Kirk keep the Distributed Computing Info site updated, although he does the actual website update manually himself. That's just to tell you it's a sort of a team effort now.
|
I know. I think he mentioned you on the Frontpage as one of the people to thank for keeping the site up to date.

BTW: Have you checked the latest distributedcomputing.info update? We may expect new participants soon
 Note: Your site says "332193859" is factored to 66 by Joshua, while actually he factored "332193461". So, I took "332193859": M332193859 no factor from 2^62 to 2^64. Taking "332193529" to 64. Could you make a separate table of factored exponents? EDIT: Just reviving my old question. What will we do wih the ranges reserved by LPMurray and segmtfault? EDIT2: I'll e-mail you to send files for the ranges reserved by the dot. |
Could you make a separate table of factored exponents?
Done.
EDIT: Just reviving my old question. What will we do wih the ranges reserved by LPMurray and segmtfault?
I don't know? I guess you have tried to contact them.. Maybe we have to start them over if they've disappeared like Uncwilly... I've changed their status since I don't know if the ranges are actually in progress...
EDIT2: I'll e-mail you to send files for the ranges reserved by the dot.
Ok. I'll be waiting  |
