It runs well on my Windows laptop GPU....slow but it runs...

Now we have at least 775 hosts connected

Go BOINC!

Uncwilly 2020-03-28 16:09

The BOINC entry on the PrimeNet Top TF. They went up 10 places in the last hour.

Their attempt vs success ratio looks right.

pinhodecarlos 2020-03-28 16:15

My initial calculations estimated 1,500,000 GHz/day when this gets onto stable output but after looking at some of friends and known users I can see 5-10x more easily.

Done. Aborted the rest since to realise to others. It’s working fine on Windows machine, ATI card.

tf(): total time spent: 5h 2m 59.178s (42.71 GHz-days / day)

Yup, this is legit. And if I may please say: Wow!!!

Unfortunately, Reb is doing "Breadth-first" at the moment. I understand this is during debugging of an AMD and/or Linux related bug -- in order to quickly have a large sample-set.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the first run to 77 (hint, hint) and possibly higher (telegraphing)...

P.S. Somewhat ironically, it looks like we've lost Ben (at least for the moment). Certainly understandable in such extraordinary times.

P.P.S. To share... For the last fifteen years or so I've primarily worked from home, so this self-isolation thing is nominal for me. It's driving Linda nuts (she's a "people person")!

You might have to use fewer and some older and smaller monitors at first.

Hey, it was only this remote-work thing which finally got her to use two monitors!!! And she's an architect! Frankly, I can't work with only one monitor, and I struggle with only two.

BTW, our private Jitsi video conferencing thing is working great. I spun up a dedicated cloud VM just for this, and so they're not getting any of the degraded service available, etc that I've heard reported about even WhatsApp and Skype users are sometimes experiencing. Well worth the $10 USD a month for the instance.

Results reporting?

How often does SRBase report results?

different, 1-3 times

I did not manage to post at Gridcoin forum about the app add on. SETI.USA and the Scottish are on it. Hard OCP with a 13no. GPU guy on it. Was expecting to see XtremeSystems but let’s wait, news will spread out by itself.

Edit and BTW: if each host has 3 wus queued then more than 900 GPU’s are connected to the server. Only Reb can confirm this. Can you count the number of GPU hosts connected to the server?
