Corrected. And apologies for misspelling your name.
All good these things happen. I must admit I did think that's an interesting way of spelling my name :)
[When I start this job I get the following
CODE]Mon Jul 13 10:30:52 2020 found 38025 cycles, need 2210586
Mon Jul 13 10:30:52 2020 too few cycles, matrix probably cannot build
Mon Jul 13 10:30:52 2020 filtering wants 1000000 more relations
With just over 700,000 pending rels remaining. My question is does this job require more sleeving?
What target density did you use?

Mostly likely it needs more relations. I can bump Q up to 45M. That should be sufficient but please let us know if it won’t build.

ETA: Q bumped up to 45M

My apologies I forgot to put I use TD=120 thanks for bumping up to 45 million

And f17_202p1 has built a matrix. About 175 hours remain.

Small jobs don't benefit much from high target densities. Try TD =108 and TD = 120 once you have the new up-to-45M relations, and see for yourself. Even TD = 100 is unlikely to take more than an hour more to solve the matrix than TD =120.

Thank you for your input. I managed to start job with a TD116 to do that LA phase it's going to take.
Tue Jul 14 11:43:55 2020 commencing Lanczos iteration (23 threads)
Tue Jul 14 11:43:55 2020 memory use: 2270.0 MB
Tue Jul 14 11:44:00 2020 linear algebra at 0.0%, ETA 2h55m
Tue Jul 14 11:44:02 2020 checkpointing every 1230000 dimensions
This is slightly longer than the "hour" you refer to solve matrix, I like to do the LA phase of the job in the shortest amount of time.
Roughly 35% complete with a 1 hour 55 minutes to go

I ended up running number with a TD116 took just over 3 hours and 37 minutes. Find zipped log attached

You misunderstood- I said a lower TD would take less than an hour MORE than TD 120. I made no promises about how long the whole job would take!! (How could I, since I don't know your hardware?)

If you try the same job with TD 104 or 100, I wager the ETA won't change by more than 10%.

Very good point. Thank you for explaining I understand now and please accept my apologies
