Taken to the extreme, Stardate 53429.3 is just as dumb as anything else. Most societies have developed a strong need for 7 day week cycles so they have to stay. Common medium term usage especially in business is to talk in quarters and halves, Q1, Q2, H2 etc, so splitting the 52 week year into 4 13 week months probably makes the most sense. I don't recall a specific need to split the year January 1st, it makes more sense to match the 4 months with the 4 seasons lets say March 1st for arguments sake. Keeping Saturday to Sunday weeks for arguments sake I believe today would be 2019-3-70, Saturday the 70th of Autumn 2019.

Not everywhere experiences the seasons at the same time. That would work only in a regular year. We would still need to correct for the 0.2422 extra days per year. so we would hat to at the very least we would have an extra day 97 times (calendars) every 400 years. So it could be more complicated. (The extra days)

Your question presupposes that units other than SI multiples of seconds are required and/or desirable. I thought my post had already established in a sane world only units of ..., ms, s, ks, Ms, Gs, ... would be used. Perhaps I wasn't explicit enough.
