The error checking code used in the PRP test will tell if your computer is reliable enough. It can even fix problems.
Valid point.

Currently doing "tie breaking" work for 4 months. Any needed QC's after that will probably convince me. ;)

I am also doing a single DC on another machine: timelines do not allow me to do it over as PRP and still meet deadlines (clock was eaten up by discarding 20% of first-run PRP work, but I was assigned LL doublecheck work while upgrading).

I NOW know you can just modify the "doublecheck" line to "PRP", add a few parameters, and the server will accept the result. But as was mentioned, there is some residual usefulness confirming past LL results.
But as was mentioned, there is some residual usefulness confirming past LL results.
I am seeing 6-9 year old results in my PrimeNet assigned DC's that I am doing and the TC's (which, except when there was a recent suspect machine, have proven the old results bad). What happened on a machine 6 years ago is not likely to still be the same issue. Nor will it be able to correct it in time to salvage all of the tests since it started going bad. The DC's are more useful to point out currently bad machines. PRP with the GEC and Certs will do that faster.

phillipsjk 2020-10-01 12:33

If I am honest, I don't think even I generally keep a machine running that long.

Such machines can be kept running if you have replacement parts, but if you are running hot enough to cause errors: I don't think the machine will last long.

I updated the list, but my fetch does is not screening out all of the assigned exponents. I will deal with this when I have time.

Requesting a triple check of [m]58255163[/m]. This machine was recently returned to service and may have issues.

Queued with an AID.

Running up against the first 5000 assignments. Will expand my queries later (no sooner than Tuesday.)

List updated. Several Cat 1 and 2 assignments available.

I took the following from the triple check list.

Cat 2
Doublecheck=55234877,74,1
Doublecheck=55759727,74,1
Doublecheck=56308897,74,1

Cat 3
Doublecheck=56779103,74,1
Doublecheck=56855671,74,1

Claimed all these. I couldn't get AIDs for the first seven or eight,. Probably because they're all too low of a category to be assigned.

It's likely to be bad as well. The same machine turned in another mismatch. I'll have access to the machine again on Tuesday night, but it will probably have turned in a third mismatch by then.
