That we do. Any idea when George might let Prime95 v30 out of its cage? :smile:
It's already out unofficially in the beta stage:

We're releasing on time."

I looked through the readme file. There are extra libraries mentioned which are not in the archive. Any idea where I may find them?

:smile:

If you already have working v29.8 just extract 30b2 into the same directory and overwrite the files (make a copy of the folder before, if you want to preserve 29.8), and then you have the libraries you need, I believe. I have not tried Prime95 30b2 only mprime 30b2.

The 30b1 zip has some new dll's. The 30b2 zip does not include them.
My work machine doesn't trust the dll's and I can't sweet talk it into allowing the dll's. Home machine I can.

This is what I get when I try to run it on one of my Windows 7 systems:
The ordinal 893 could not be located in the dynamic link library libgmp-10.dll.
On my Windows 10 system, it is this:
The code execution cannot proceed because libcurl-x64.dll was not found...
I know what Curl is. James Heinrich uses it in his send/receive batch. I definitely need some libraries. What I had is v29.8 b6.

Disregard: I found a link containing libraries in another topic.

New 3950x running just fine so far...

Well, 23 days after sending my first chip sample back, the replacement has arrived. (Yes, the vendor accepted the return and sent a replacement.)

The new one has been running small FFTs on stock settings for several hours now (the first one wouldn't run 2 seconds without tossing an error.)

More testing to come, but I have run much further than I did on the first one.

Your time also has value.

At what point do you decide it's less expensive to "outsource"?

v30.2 B1 is running smoothy on all three of my machines. All are running first time PRP-CF tests. My i5 takes about four hours, and the i7, two hours. I made the mistake of allowing my very antique Core2Duo to run one. 11 hours at the start. It is mostly done now with a CERT test behind. I set it to where it will not reserve anything more until it completes everything. That machine is really not much good for anything other than small ECM's or low-limit TF. It is sitting there and I want to use it for something.

I am considering building another machine. I've been looking at possibly using an AMD 12 core, 24 thread, CPU, and 32 GB of RAM with it. I can get all this as a kit. The only thing stopping me is that I simply do not want to mess with it. At least, not now. I can only describe it being "brain tired."

An interesting parts list. I believe the CPU I looked at was a Ryzen 9 3900XT with the cooler, and bundled with the RAM.

This is a bit off-topic and I need to behave. :grin:

Little help
I have Ryzen 3900X with HT OFF, so I have 12 cores. , have two ccd , every ccd has two ccx and every ccx has 3 cores.
I need to setup with affinity settings that

-first worker - two cores

-second worker - one wcore
---------------------------------------- first ccx full
-third worker - two cores

-fourth worker- one core
-------------------------------------- second ccx full
etc up to the end

so should correct settings will be ( under linux, mprime)

Worker #1]
Affinity=0,1
[Worker #1]
Affinity=2

etc etc
