Hello. I just wondering is all Radeon VII working fine and just some cards can possibly produce errors? Or all cards has this kind of errors? Is it safety to make PRP test on it even with an error like below?

my radeon VII has errors and PRP tests are reliable.

So yeah I read your posts ... but I just try to understand if your card is just exception from the rule ) Prime95, mentioned that he have some stable ASrock Radeon VII card (aka "first card"). And it means that he haven't such errors during PRP test?

I don't know, mine is branded Gigabyte. After this experience, I didn't want to replicate, so I ordered the RX 5700 XT directly from shop.amd.com

My first card (Asrock) has gone two months without an " EE ".
My second card (XFX) generated about 2 or 3 " EE " errors a day, but good results in the end. I have returned it.
My third card (Asrock) has generated no " EE " errors in its short 3 days in service.

Thanks, Prime95!) That is I looking for. I have temptation to buy one card. Seems ASRock cards the most stable for some reason but they are not available in my country. Probably I will try to buy Sapphire card.

Free gpu testing!
Aaacck, say it ain't so.

Should I rush out and buy a couple more? How does the Navi card compare to the Radeon VII? My new Radeon VII is at 0.835ms / iteration on 5M FFT with a power draw of 194 watts.
Clearly you should rush out and buy 3 more, and send one to me for um, extensive testing, no charge.

Too small a sample set to draw any real quality conclusions. Good luck with your Sapphire card. I followed the excellent Linux instructions in this thread to get the maximum throughput at a reasonable wattage.

BTW, check your power supply. This card wants two 8-pin power connections.

Now I'm tempted to get one since the newer cards have worse DP performance...

But I already have an RTX 2080 card. Can you have an Nvidia and AMD card in the same computer or will they fight each other

I know they cannot work together in any SLI/Crossfire setup but could you run different programs on them at the same time?
How big of a power supply would be required to run those 2 in an old Haswell-E 8core 5960X.

Edit:
The RTX 2080 has a TDP of 215W which matches GPU-Z which tells me 210-220W right now.
Radeon VII has 295W TDP
5960X has Max TDP of 140W.
That is 650W in total, so in theory my 850W power supply could work. That is ~76% usage or probably 80-85% with case fans and all the rest.

The Radeon VII uses about 200 watts in practice. You could use 250, but the returns aren't worth it.

Does your 850 watt power supply have enough power cables to power both GPUs?

AMD: "We continue to see strong availability of Radeon VII in the channel for both gamers and creators."

Meanwhile stock is emptying at various retailers. Last stock is reportedly being marked up and individuals are reselling at a profit.
