It doesn't look good. If you're overclocking, dial back. In the future reduce the block-size if you get errors that often. There seems to be a serious problem, I can't say if it's hardware or software. If it goes away with cool temperature, it's more likely hardware.

You have found the exact point Mihai, when I started the computation today, I had just turned on the hvac, and the room temperature was still high. After some minutes and a power cycle, I restarted gpuowl and now it is 4 hours that gpuowl works without errors.


ps: I am not overclocking.

Yes, when I keep the board cool it works fantastically, once it warms up reaching near the critical temp. it starts misbehaving.
In theory it should start thermal throttling and slow down but this does not happen.

Yes, grab 'em while you can. I checked local suppliers here in Finland and suddenly none of them have any significant amounts in stock, just a few (1-3) pieces here and there. And more telling, no information on when more of those products arrive.

Perhaps that's why you had that warranty replacement problem, they knew they were out and wouldn't have any more. But then, maybe this also means that there's going to be potential warranty replacement problems in a few months' time, if something fails again within the warranty period.

The Navi cards, at least the ones released thus far, have the usual consumer graphics oriented 1:16 FP64 rate so they're not even close. I'm guessing the 5700XT will be somewhat faster than a Vega 64 on PRP, but not by much.
