A couple newbie questions

I've been on Gimps for a couple months, but just switched to a mac and am having a couple problems:

1. How do I select LL first time tests? I was doing them on my old pc, but when I selected "first time tests" on my mac, I got assigned a double-checking assignment. I don't see an option for "LL first time tests" in the "Type of work to get" dialog under "worker windows."

2. Where is the worktodo.txt file? I found it in the same folder that prime95.exe was in on windows, but on mac I can't find it.

Even if you select first time tests, by default it will do one double-check a year, as a way of trying to detect machines that may have unreliable hardware. You can turn this off if you really want, at https://mersenne.org/thresholds/

I don't use a Mac, so I don't know the answer to the second question.

I think the default directory is ~/Prime95

Also out of curiosity, in order to have a chance of finding the next world-record prime, would you choose "world record sized tests"?

Yes, although in practice there is currently no difference between "World record tests" and "Smallest available first-time tests".

As of a month ago, all exponents below M74207281 have been tested at least once. (Milestones page)
