No sooner does one odd stat get sorted, another turns up. Still statistically valid though.
Results 4-5e18 5-6e18 8-9e18 % gaps >=1366 1.0% 1.2% 1.1% % gaps >=1300 5.2% 5.4% 7.1% % gaps >=1200 50.1% 58.3% 67.8%
|
What is the expected value for gap=>1366 in 8-9 e18 range? 1.4? 1.5?

ok, i did a part of my range with gap5. can I continue to do it with gap9? (obviously the gap find will be ot of order)
I used this and used -n1 and n at the value of the last gap5 checkpoint
gap9 -n1 5781952884048527160 -n2 5800e15 -n 5781952884048527160 -res1 0 -res2 8151 -res 0 -m1 1190 -m2 8151 -numcoprime 27 -sb 24 -bs 18 -t 2 -mem 6
(the range seem to fit into 3 gig) are these reasonable parametters? or should I go back to gap5? |

For such a short range, the recommended parameter is m2 = res2 = 429 |

As already recommended by axn, you should use the parameters m2 = res2 = 429. But you should wait for Robert's official O.K. :smile: As an additional check I'm willing to do the double checking with gap5 for that range. |

It is better not to give out this, even if you have already sent it to Dr. Thomas R. Nicely, because the page is not updated at: http://www.trnicely.net/gaps/gaplist.html . |
danaj posted it here so it is public information. He is confident about his relationship with Dr Nicely!

There is also independent corroboration in this forum by a post and a timestamp

We are about 2/3 done on this Range.
However the gremlins have conspired against us and we still cannot breach the "gap" of 5049-4050. Dana tell me it should come out in 11.5 hours. Once we get that one we will have a lot of good news to share.:party: |
