Ok, tomorrow, the Release Candidate 1 of MasterPrime 2006 will be out. In 24 hours I'll put up a new web-site framework. I'm sure there will be a lot of messages about bugs/errors or ideas, so I think that this forum topic is not for them. I added a special window for reporting a bug inside the MP. It is better to use that window. After collecting few reports I'll make possible changes and report here about them. This is the best way for me to be intouch with users/testers and the forum will be free of unuseful garbage.
The current benefits: - Modern GUI. Some like Microsoft Office 2007 / Vista with many hints and comments for any interface elements - Build-in browser for making feedback easy and light - All possible actions over exponents (0M-1.1B, plus 3.3B). Will be extending further... Fast mathematical routines. - Easy tool for generating detailed reports. Will be very useful for maniacs who love to learn any statistics. - Extended plugins support. The total MasterPrime 2006 framework can be accessed in object style. Third-party developers can write own routines and plugins (now in Visual Basic and PHP inside the framework, any language if outside). - Full real-time online-exchange support. Exchange your results with other users through official web-site of MP with very light traffic by the help of BBCD-compression. It is mainly... End of november will be RC2, and Official Release is 31 of December 2006. - |

According to the full report, the M100,000,007 test was on iteration 81,422,016 as of Oct. 19.

http://mp2006.larin.name/ still says "Official RC1 in few hours!"
According to my calculator, the number with that exponent has 30,103,001 digits. The first 100M digit exponent is, I think, 332,192,810, or thereabouts. Just looking for a little notoriety, huh? |

Yes (read the previous posts in this thread, which admittedly would take a long time). |
M100,000,007 updated again on Nov. 2. The test is now at iteration 85,789,311.
It is unfortunate that neither StarQwest nor Yxine have posted here in half a month. |
M100,000,007
Nothing much exciting happening now. I am at iteration 86,280,000. I will post the residue when I hit 90 million, which will be around November 17th.

As of Nov. 5, 2:39 server time, M100,000,007 was at iteration number 86,341,056. In case anyone is interested, the next largest assignment recognized by Primenet is 41,978,789.
StarQwest, do you know anything about what happened to Yxine's MasterPrime 2006? |
Jinydu: I am not sure what is going on with MP2006. I haven't heard from Yxine in nearly a month. You may want to send him a private messege about it.
Yxine: You said that every time someone visits your site it attempts to trial factor M100,000,007. How is that going? There hasn't been any (unlucky) success on that, has there? I trial factored it to 2^72 (ten days) and P-1 factored it for eight days (18 days total), and found nothing. Hopefully that is because there is no factor except 1 and 2^100,000,007-1. We'll know in just a few more weeks... |
I don't think Yxine would respond; if he could, I think he would have posted here by now. And his website seems to have disappeared, or rather been replaced by a single webpage that consists of a single sentence.
