Hmm... you might try downloading the software again. Who knows, maybe something flaked out. I'm assuming you downloaded it from the website and not from some other unknown location. |
yeah, I tried to redownload the application when I noticed the weirdness. (and yes, from the site)

That is for sure some regional settings, for which you are missing the parts of the fonts used by P95. What windoze do you have, arabian, chinese? You may need to install some english fonts like "MS Sans Serif" or "Courier New" or "Helvetica" that seem to be used by P95 (just a fast look into the resources file, but last sources package I have downloaded is for an order version, 27.3). I think you have the right PS fonts, as the menus look good, but you don't have the non-PS fonts (or their Latin part is missing).
You can google for "win 10 font remap" and see some "curiosities" there, they use now some versions of Seagoe, and the customization of icons and fonts is gone, but you still can do a lot of font tricks with the registry derectly. Here may be some starting point. Many people have similar problems like you. Sorry for not comming with a more direct help, but we are still using 7, we only banged our head against 10 when the feral teenager in the house installed 10 in her laptop by herself and then she could not use the printer anymore... (this episode is already described on this forum). |
Could it be this?
http://news.softpedia.com/news/windows-10-creators-update-reporting-gibberish-fonts-after-the-upgrade-515050.shtml I came across this article after reading this thread last week, but couldn't remember where I saw the user with gibberish fonts. |
Maybe, who knows. I'm not sure how's this related.
|
It seems related. Other Windows 10 users are having similar problems with other software, and there is even a screenshot showing exactly the same problem with some program text. Per the article, there is no known solution or work-around, and it looks like you'll have to wait for Microsoft to come up with a fix.
Some of the other links in that article, like to Microsoft's site, also have similar suggestions that were already made earlier in this thread. If those didn't work for you, then you may be out of luck with this program on your machine unless you want to start taking drastic steps like reinstalling the OS. |
Alright, I'll wait. Thank you people.
