At least there is wide area of uncharted territory in front of us! Are there any plans to extend our search beyond 5e18? I would go for it.
Totally! First we have to get ahead of Leonhardy. I suggest that he is at a maximum at 4.9e18 and possibly only at 4.7e18. Then we have a long empty road ahead up to 16e18. I suggest we get to 85% completion on the 4e18 to 5e18 range before opening up a new thread for 5e18 to 6e18. There would be five interesting hurdle results: (i) The most likely would be the jumping record - i.e. a gap > 1476 (ii) A jumping record that also beats Dana's 38 merit. (i.e. a gap >1634) That would be very sweet. (iii) I don't think beating the Cramér-Shanks-Granville ratio record (0.9206386 for the 1132 record gap) is likely, but who knows. A gap of 1700 would do that. (iv) Even more unlikely is a CSG record >1 !! Given that this is the conjecture. The gap needs to be 1842 (v) Granville thinks the ratio should be < 1.1229.. which means getting a gap of 2066 |

Depending on how much has LLh searched, I believe there is a chance of finding 1 or 2 fresh C?C in the Ranges >= 5000 e15
These will then become CFC Also the C?C gap of 1352 at range 4459e15 is about to be rediscovered. |
I am sorry for the delay with my range but heat has caused work to be paused for now.

I've resumed mine with only two cores. Building fabric (windows frame in particular) in UK is poor in terms of lagging therefore houses quickly get warmer when temperatures outside raises but nevertheless I really like this little heat wave. |

In one of only two rooms with air con at work. People are jealous. The rumor has it that the room used to be a server room. My bedroom has hit 32C a couple of times in the last week. Don't want to add any heat to that. |

My bedroom has hit 32C a couple of times in the last week. Don't want to add any heat to that.
Have ac at work but the 4 way ceiling unit blows the air into my eyes drying them and inducing me with headaches. Ventilation issue. My bedroom is constant 29-30 degC but I can handle it. I suggest you drink a lot of liquids even hot tea reduce the sweating although you will reach a time you won't lose any more. During night my body gets cold and usually I need to cover or have a better pijama even on hot days. Heat waves in Portugal last 7 days with temperatures above the 40's. On the other hand I suffer a little with cold weather specially in the morning. Back to the topic, you can run only two cores, it won't generate a lot of heating and it will be safe to do it. |
We are suffering with the heat in the UK : 34.4 today and no-one has AC. I am lucky I have two machines working in my basement. There is an 5 degree difference in temperatures for each floor of my house. Sleeping will not be easy on the second to top floor! Maybe it is time to put the airbed up in my den in the basement!.
