Done. You're right, that was fun!

Especially
the first two!

After those two I expected the third to go with a deep fermat or p-1 or something, but no luck. A 10 min GNFS job instead.
could it be a .. joke challenge?

Batalov 2017-03-28 01:47

No! It is plug for their Quantum computer, of course!

Can I recommend no one puts these on factordb until the end of the challenge?

For the first time ever, we have "solved" one of those puzzles!

:toot:

We did the factorization too, because Ben and Serge got us curious, according with the discussion here, we expected to get easy ECM or P-1 solutions for the smallest two, but we may have been unlucky, as we went to GNFS on all 3 (and they were factored very fast).

We are not going to report the results, it is not fun, as RDS would say, we just used some tool for which we have no contribution (yafu, etc). Not fun. Far away from the former puzzles where we at least had to write some code, whatever...

Did you factor P+-1?

LaurV 2017-04-03 17:51
Did you factor P+-1?
yes, yafu's defaults, and ECM set to custom plan 30% (my defaults for aliquotes, to avoid as much as possible 3-way splits in nfs). As I said, unlucky.
edit: we can share logs after the competition ends.
