Double click to mark as read on Android Chrome

Maybe I am a moron, or maybe this is a known issue.

When viewing the front page on a desktop, I can double click on the folder icon to mark it read. But when viewing in chrome on my phone, double clicking does not work. Is there a way to do this? Long click doesn't work either.
