Go with BIOS defaults. Test. And then gradually introduce higher clocks for the RAM, testing at each stage. There might be some BIOS setting that gives you stability -- I am trying to remember -- adaptive that's the one

I should have pointed out that my ram is currently at 2133. I am aware that I will probably need to up the voltage of the memory controller to reach 3000. This is on bios defaults apart from switching on vt-d and vt-x which I use for virtualbox. |

2133 is quite low -- good. Try "adaptive" for you CPU. |
Added 9.76mv to the cpu as an adaptive offset.

Let us know if it is prime95-mprime-torture-test stable now. If it is you can start to test with higher memory clocks. |

Could be a decent wait. It took an hour last time. What temperature would you be expecting with a nh-u14s cooler? The intel extreme tuning facility is reporting 69C currently. My old cpu would have hated that. |

Failed again. Now got 19.5mv added |
Is there a way to use just "adaptive" without an offset?
Also turning off turbo might help. |
Failed again. Now got 19.5mv added
Seems to be failing much quicker at +19.5mv. 10 minutes rather than an hour. All of these failures have been zeroed residues rather than the expected value. |
