I'm taking k=1585 from 50k up.

After a day, it is tested to 125k, with primes at:
56801
122521

1009 and 19920911 are now at 450k with 1 already reported prime
1145699 is at 760k with no primes

mcduck 2008-11-09 15:48

I have tested k=777777 to 400k, these are the primes over 100k;

100210 111218 147885 160120 184918 237092 264142 286433 307928

Not planning on testing this k any further.

1009 and 19920911 are now at 471k
1145699 is at 913k with no primes
1145699 doesnt have long before it gets to 1M

has anyone got a list of extremely low weight ks
i mean ~weight<10

VBCurtis 2008-11-18 22:32

Thomas has such a list, though weight below 10 is pretty hard to come by (k's would be 10 digits or more). I have 13900807, which is weight 25 or so- one of the lowest for k<100M.

see here: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=78463&postcount=88 for nash <=5

and http://www.mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=78459&postcount=86 with nash=20-30.

and further http://www.mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=78349&postcount=78 with nash=5-15 tested by Thomas for n=2 to 250k with primes listed!

many of the 'smaller' k's are at www.rieselprime.org too. check there first before testing!

Be careful, the first post (nash <= 5) indeed contains some Riesel numbers!

thanks for the links
1145699 is completed to 1M unreserving
i will reserve a rediculously low weight k to take to >1M once i have finished my current gnfs factorization
1009 and 19920911 are now at 486.5k
they will soon finish

I've been doing a k*2^n+1 series for a while, and the k looks clear this time (I checked through google and the prime pages).
Where would I reserve the number? (I've done to n=200000 or so ATM)

Thanks!
