Aliqueit/wget can't upload sequence (no data received). How to fix this?
I didn't know whether I'd put this here or in the Aliquot Sequences subforum, but I'm having trouble uploading my sequences to the DB:

I've been having this problem ever since the "broken aliquot sequences" problem was fixed.
Could go either place I guess. I think the problem is that Syd moved the DB, but didn't update the factorization.ath.cx redirect. chris2be8 noted this in the OPN factor thread on 6/10:
FDB is running now, at http://factordb.com/. Are you trying to access factorization.ath.cx, that still points to the old server at the old IP address and just says
Moving over to a new, more energy efficient server. Will be back in ~2 hours.
Chris
If you try to surf to the factorization.ath.cx address, a browser can't connect. Unfortunately, it looks like the ath.cx address is compiled in to aliqueit.exe rather than being set through the config file. As a fallback, if it's just one sequence, you can just paste the lines into the "Report results-->Report factors" page without any trouble. Just paste the lines with an overlap of 1 line at the top and it works seamlessly. Or, since you're on Windows, you could put an entry in the HOSTS file until Mikael can post a new binary. |
There is a perl script from yoyo which can be easily modified to connect to the factordb and gets/reports things for aliqueit, I never connected to the db with aliqueit.
