Any feature request for 2016?

Hi,

It's been many months since the last MISFIT release and I guess that is a good thing, but I have some free time and if anyone has any feature requests let me know and I'll see what's doable.

Thanks

Scott

some real documentation on setup and features, not just a disjointed sequence of screen grabs?

A hook into the mersenne.org manual GPU assignment page to get assignments which actually match the range used in the work-fetch work calculator rather than ones just randomly handed out.

Indeed. I must thank you again for an excellent piece of software! It has made GPU TF'ing _much_ more convenient and efficient for many GPUTF'ers here!

Well done! :tu:

MISFIT calls special pages to get assignments so George would have to enhance GIMPS first. This is not something that I would put a priority on unless many others want the same. . So... Maybe....

Thanks. I appreciate that.

+1 and kudos to Scott. Misfit saved me a century of manual work!
Happy new year!

I just started using misfit and really like it.

Does it have a limit of the number of GPU it can support?
Over the next couple of weeks I will be trying to use misfit with 16 GPU.

thank you for a helpful utility!

for your consideration, these would help me:

- configuration, work fetch, "fetch when misfitworktodo drops below" ::: -- I can't go below 100 and would like to please.

- configuration, work mgmt, balance value ::: always resets to 5 after exit/restart -- I want lower to stick please;

- clarify ::: work mgmt drain-when, and amount value seem to refer to the sum of all GPUs for trigger? -- not any one gpu getting too low and needing a refill?

- option for network retry configurable resembling Prime95's "minutes between retires" # instead of the fixed "about 30 minutes" dialog.

Respectfully,
Denny.

No limit. It has been proven with 32 instances spanning several GPUS and PCs.

Excellent list. I will address all of them in upcoming release.

as for work mgmt drain: it is the sum of all and with auto-work balancing that makes total sense since no one gpu should run out of work before another.
