[QUOTE=Madpoo;420345]Here's a list... we're running out of 3:1 bad/good work, so I pulled the top 200 "worst" computers by their bad/good ratio and spit out all of the available exponents from them. Edit: The ones in between the ones I took and those that UBR47K took were grabbed by ANONYMOUS. |

Bummer... I wish I had a way to "pre-reserve" these and just let someone take over the assignment so that wouldn't happen. Not really feasible to do that though. Well, I guess I'm not really sure what would happen if I created an assignment under my account, for example, and then let someone else run and check it in using that assignment ID, but their own account. I'm pretty sure they would get the credit since at that point it doesn't really care who the assignment was generated for, it's only looking at the account used when checking in the result. The downside would be that if you looked in your account to see what assignments you had, it wouldn't show up for you. Then the fact that I'd be posting lists on here with the full assignment ID's which opens it up to some trickster manually expiring those. Ah well... I guess the lesson is, if you pick out some exponents, check that they're still available (like you did) and try to get those assigned to you ASAP. |

I think in this case it might be that ANONYMOUS might have been working on the assignments with a prior assignment ID, noticed they got recycled, and then reclaimed them getting new assignments. I posted that these exponents had been claimed just to help people reading this thread know that those are no longer available. [QUOTE=Madpoo;420375]Ah well... Thanks for the triple check, sdbardwick!

More 3:1 bad/good stuff
Here's an updated list. I recently bumped one system from 2:1 into the 3:1 category... one available exponent from it. And looks like some other juicy ones are available thanks to expired assignments.
Don't be shy about taking those larger ones either. I've been working on some from those CPUs and they're turning up bad more often than not. And some strategic *triple* checks... the outcome of which will help us look closely at the bad result and see if that CPU has more bad stuff.
