Revisiting an old list from last July, as far as I can tell, all of the exponents are now verified good except for one: [M]M59152091[/M] which is currently assigned for GPU factoring, however the first LL test was done by the user named "Amazon EC2" which has never had a bad result.
So the prediction of 6–10 mismatches was not borne out, it was actually zero. Probably the average error rate is heavily skewed by a few machines with high error rates, while the majority are consistently good. I already skimmed the top 96 from the list for myself :smile: and these are the next 100. It goes without saying (but I will anyway) that these exponents are very likely to match, but there's just no way of knowing until we do a DC for each CPU. Out of this list of 100 (and the 96 I took) I expect there'll be 6-10 mismatches, but then that gives us an opportunity to more closely examine those particular CPUs and the rest of their unknown results. All the recent lists have been assigned. I'm wondering if anyone would like to do some DoubleChecks of work off one of my machines. The machine in question, EM_Core_i5_6600, is running Windows Server 2012r2 on a consumer grade board with an Intel consumer grade Ethernet connection. Normally, Intel doesn't allow the driver for their consumer grade Ethernet cards to install on server operating systems. I found someone who tweaked the installer to allow it to work. I had no problems with internet use or my various workstations connecting to it. The only issue I had was when Windows Update would automatically run and install updates; the machine would freeze. When I would run Windows Update manually, everything was fine. The machine was set to allow GIMPS to decide what work it got, and all the DoubleChecks it ever did have all been fine. I do wonder about the seven assignments that were being worked on during the freezes. Those are here.
