Correct, and it was ixfd64 I replied to. For exponents that haven't done stage 2 (where B1=B2 presumably), that info should be available on the site by looking at the P-1 history for the exponent. And for exponents where P-1 isn't sufficient, mersenne.ca has that.

I did once undertake a project to look for exponents where P-1 had been done with no results, and a factor was found later that *should* have been found, but it was a tedious process and involved some external (outside of SQL) work to figure it out with any level of confidence. In the end I gave up because the return on all that work was minimal. People doing P-1 work may be flaky, but I figured there's a good chance we've already seen their flakiness through LL double-checks.

Now, if you asked me to generate a list of really bad machines (judging by their LL results) and which exponents they've done factoring work on with no results, I could do that. If someone wanted to re-run their P-1/TF work, for example.

Well... give this a shot. These are P-1 results done by machines with a history of bad LL results (I show the overall bad/good as an indication).

For the worktodo line, I didn't actually try out the pminus1 but I think that's the right format... basically I took (I think) the same b1/b2 that the bad computer used, and I'm adding 1000 to B2 otherwise Primenet won't accept the result since it would be the same as before...assuming no factor found.

For results that only had a B1 (b2 is null in the database or b1=b2) I'm just using the generic pfactor format which lets Prime95 pick it's own bounds based on how many LL tests would be saved. I'm assuming 1 test saved in all cases even though for some there may be zero tests saved (it's already double-checked).

Anyway, it's a first draft so see what you think. The formatting will be all wonky because of the tab separated columns... oh well.

There is a worktodo-balancer on mersenne.ca I used and I think I (or the tool) messed something up, because when I reported the results, one result was reported five times for some reason, so I'll have to double check all assignments next week.
