No, no, no! Our queen is being attacked
[strike]We get the knight if it decides to take either the bishop or the queen. Seems fair to me.[/strike]
Oops. That was entirely wrong. I'll change my move to moving the queen from d3 to e4. |

I'll change my move to moving the queen from d3 to e4.
That will leave our knight exposed. Better is to take the knight with ours -- it is just a different order of moves already presented by richs, but can we capitalise? |
Yes, this is a shuffle of the move sequence I posted. I am looking further before recommending Nxe5.
|
Looks like Nxe5 here. Not sure whether they should take back with the bishop or pawn. My inclination is the say the bishop leaves a nice position for them.
|
Me: Nxe5
David: Nxe5 richs: unsure about Nxe5 retina: h3 We have a day or two left to play this move  |
I agree with Nxe5. If they take the knight with their bishop, here is how I think it will go:
23. Nxe5 Bxe5 24. Bc3 Rxa1 25. Rxa1 Bf6 26. h4 Qe8 27. Ra6 Kg7 28. b4 Qb5 29. Qxb5 Nxb5 30. Bxf6+ Kxf6 With either the pawn take or the bishop take, we are ahead in material and position. |
